Adult Education programs provide opportunities to engage in lively and interesting biblical and theological exploration and discussion. Book study groups explore critical questions about religion, the Church, and social/cultural issues. All interested adults are invited to participate.
The Congregational Care Ministry reflects our concern for all members and participants, and engages team members in welcome, hospitality, and care during times of illness, grief, and personal/family stress or difficulty. While led by a team, this ministry involves the entire congregation in acts of concern and caring.
The Social Justice Ministry Team seeks out and involves the congregation in education and action for justice and peace in the Gunnison community, the region, and nationally. They initiated the Restorative Justice Program (now Restorative Practices) and the High School Lunch Program. The Social Justice Ministry Team provides information and action opportunities to the congregation on timely issues such as health care reform, immigration, housing, and the environment.
All ministries and programs of GCC-UCC are supported by the work of the Stewardship & Finance Ministry Team, which seeks to secure the funds needed for our annual operating budget. This support includes stewardship education, motivation, challenge, and encouragement.
