Raise the Roof...Build Community
The Gunnison Congregational Church needs a Home from which to continue expanding its programs for the benefit of the entire Gunnison Community as well as its own members and friends. We conducted a capital campaign in April, 2010. Financial commitments to this campaign were planned to cover a three-year giving period beginning in May of that year. Total commitments of over $270,000 were received.
At the end of 2011, contributions of $158,000 had been received, which is on track for a successful campaign. Based on this success, the Church Home Committee has been vigorously studying the implications of purchasing various properties that are now on the Gunnison real estate market. We look forward enthusiastically to having a recommendation from that committee suggesting how we might best proceed.
